| Description: |
This is Rev. 1 of a bracket that "Manny Myles" made for me to mount an AstroTrac onto an A-T Voyager Alt/Az mount. Note that all 4 holes in the Voyager's head can be used for attachment. A strut is also provided to minimize flex. Note, also, that the leg on which the equipment mounts, is offset from vertical by my observing latitude of 33 deg. (N) to move most of the weight of the imaging train close to the Voyager's CG when the AstroTrac is polar aligned. The original was just an "L", which served well until I began increasing the load on the AstroTrac!! "Manny" did a superb job!!! |
