Description: This is my 6” f8 dob that I built in 1989. I bought the mirrors, spidervane and focusser from Khan’s Scope Centre in Toronto. The tube was from a cracked sewer pipe I got from EMCO where my father worked. I recently added a compass scale on the bottom of the dob for reading the azimuth, and an electronic level for reading the elevation. I was able to locate Venus in the daytime with this set-up. This set-up had to do until I could buy a larger scope.
