Frankly, I have scads of lists...what would interest me much more would be Levy's memoirs similiar to Starlight Nights by Leslie Peltier (which incidently, David Levy wrote a foreward to.)

I guess we'll have to wait a few years.......

While I enjoyed reading the book, it was somewhat irregular in its organization. It really needed a clearer theme to pull it all together. It's still well worth reading, however, with a feel at times as if David Levy was just talking to you about his various observations.

Nice review, Justin. :waytogo:

Thanks! This book got me pretty psyched up about observing deep sky objects in a different way than I had in the past. I also enjoy David Levy's podcast "Lets Talk Stars". That got me motivated when I took a hiatus from astronomy for a while.

I'm surprised this reviewer didn't catch the errors in a number of the photo captions, some of which I documented in the "Stellar Media" forum. This certainly detracts from the veracity of the book.

Good catches David,
I noticed a few of these errors you discussed, but forgot to include them. Shown below is a link to the thread of your discussion:

Thanks for your advice and comments regarding this book.
