Great job, as always. Thanks for putting the pics together and sharing. A great event - 3 GREAT nights and lots of great instruments. Who could ask for anything more?

It was a great pleasure meeting you there, Alister. By the way, you must have used one of those fisheye lenses to take my picture. It really made me look fat

Just for the record, I bought the mount from the 9.25" Celestron ASC that Gary Hand was selling. More to come.

Don,

Nice to meet you too. Glad to see your sale table did so well. Tell Bob I'm loving the Ultima 30mm I purchased from him.

Now that you've purchased the Celestron ASC can we expect a review in the near future? Inquiring minds want to know.

Fisheye lens... ha!

I'll check out the ASC this weekend if it's clear.

I saw you had a picture of the new UTA for the 14.5" portaball - can you tell me any more about it? Did you get to view through one? (I have one on order....). Also, any more info on the 18" portaball?

Thanks,

Jarad

Jarad,

Pete brought along a 12.5" and an 8" so I didn't have a chance to look through a 14.5". Not much else I can add about the UTA - extremely lightweight.

You will have to call Pete for further info on the 18". He sketched the plans out for me and it appears it will be the most compact 18" on the market.

When is your 14.5" due?

Around November-December.

Thanks!

Thanks for the pics. I am in upstate NY, but have nephews in Somanauk: I know now where I'll be for the 3'rd week in September, next year. :)
