I was out this morning imaging Jupiter for the first time in Season 2009.

Seeing was average for the altitude, with huge waves passing across the image distorting it terribly.

I'm looking forward to the end of DST so I can image Jupiter before heading to work, instead of at the moment when I can only do it on days I'm working from home or on weekends.

More here, plus a collection of other early-apparition images from Australia and the Phillipines.

Jupiter is Back! First images for Season 2009!

Thanks for looking.

That is a great image. I hope I may be on my way to getting my scope and CCD in sync for a picture like that soon.

Mike, great first images! Jupiter is still in the trees from my observatory. Not sure how high it will get this year in the US

Those are real nice images of Jupiter. Thought you might want to take a look at some that I found through a Google search. http://www.comet-tra...301/101301.html
