I just got done editing my website and making changes. Only took 6 weeks of work. Check it out and tell me what you think of the new look.

www.auroraastro.com.

Also my best seller is Astronomers Observing Lamp $24.95 that was featured in Astronomy Technology Today page 24 latest issue.

Thanks,

"who has seen over 1500 DSOs"

Jim,

I think that you have way underestimated DSOs.

I got involved in amateur astronomy in 1996,
completed requirements for my AL Master Observer Certificate in 2002;
and estimated 1400 observations (but not all DSOs).

I am sure that you have seen many, many, more.

Hi Ed,

Yes, you are probably right I finished my Herschel 400's at Texas Star Party in 1996 and started the herschel 2 list and have about 100 of those. Then didn't observe as much. Then in 2000 I got the 29.25" f/4.5 Starmaster dob so we did lots of what does M27 look like in big scope but did see lots of faint galaxy groups. I am probably closer to 2000+ Deep sky objects not counting double stars. Comet count is correct 36 last time I checked.

I would like to do more and finish all the NGC objects.
But if you go look at this what is it I can probably tell you and give you the NGC number. But I can't remember you name. I can recall numbers pretty well.

Good to hear from you.

Jim

Thanks for compliment on the web site. It was long hard road when you are one person shop you get to do it all, ship, receive, order, sell and be web guru.

It looks better I would like to take my monthly newsletter and make an observing section. I am full of lots of odd things to look at in night sky.

Reminder this weekend is my astronomy swap meet Sunday 10am to 4pm at the shop, with door prizes, raffle, bake sale, solar viewing and Tele Vue's John Rhodes will be here Saturday and Sunday to demo products and answer questions. And he may even know something about Celestron.
