That counterweight battery pack is an excellent idea. If there was one that was bigger for amp hours it could be really cool! Great idea they had.

Actually Tech2000 has been making these battery weights for years...scroll to bottom of linked page. But you're correct, capacity is limiting factor. -Tim

I wonder how long it may last if to connect to the dew heater. Anyone tried it?

The largest Tech2000 battery-weight is 7AmpHr, so you can calculate how many amps your dew heater and or mount is drawing and do the math. Keep in mind that you can only draw your battery down about 50 percent of it's rated capacity. -Tim

Well, since everybody is posting a picture of his mount, here's my Celestron Cgem Go-To with ADM upgrade. The scope is a Williams Optics FLT 132mm with a very nice FeatherTouch focuser. :smirk:

I was wondering if it was awkward viewing with an upside down telescope, but I see the diagonal is pointed downwards. Can you sit in a chair, or use a ladder?

It's oriented more sideways, but it's totally fine, and the focus knob is easily at hand below the diagonal. The telrad is the only finder I really use so the Celestron one isn't important. I've always been a starhopper, no find/track drives necessary.

Here's the newest, a AZ-EQ6 GT, setup in Alt-Az mode, sporting my 10" Newtonian in my home, hours before it's first outing.
