The page is a standard 8.5x11 US size paper with the drawing mounted, but what you see is reduced to keep the size down. It was a good night to give thanks.

This is an impressive sketch of the pair. Just when I think your drawings are as good as they can be you top yourself with yet a better sketch. Excellent work, I agree with Jim above. :bow: :rainbow:

Roland,

An excellent observation of this interesting pair of inter-acting galaxies in Canes Venatici. A supernova (2008ax) was detected in NGC 4490 on March 3, 2008. Thank you for sharing it with us all.

Beautiful sketch Roland! :D The variation in brightness of the nebulosity in the two galaxies is captured wonderfully.
