I managed to do a quick sketch of this pair last night just moments before heavy clouds rolled in.

Absolutely stunning sketch TE! :jump:  I love the way you handle the pastel, creating a sky that has multi-layered clouds and at the same time glows with Moonlight! Tremendous work!

Tenth

Beautiful impressionistic sketch.   It really captures the moment.

I also watched it rise as the moon was in a dark orange hue and Jupiter appeared more like Mars. Now we've had clouds for the past two nights in Portland.

TE,

An excellent observation of the Moon and Jupiter. The use of pastel adds to the scene of a bright Moon among clouds with the king of the planets nearby. Thank you for sharing it with us all.

TE,

Oh my gosh that is one fantastic sketch right there. I absolutely love how you captured the moody, melancholy ambiance of the play of light and shadow's.

Absolutely brilliant!
