I would love to hear some feedback from anyone who has successfully (or unsuccessfully) put together an imaging setup on the back of this mount.

A couple of years ago I used the Sphinx model SXW with a C8 and a CCD for imaging. With a load of appx 20lb and a 700mm focal length (3.3fr), I would get round stars on most captures taken at 30sec intervals and unguided mode.
This sample had a so-so GoTo performance (e.g., about 30 arcmin error) which made it difficult to find find targets with a CCD.

Never did guided imaging with the Sphinx, so have no comments.

If you search the Yahoo/Sphinx group elsewhere you'll find plenty of feedback from present and past owners of the Sphinx.

My answer is in your other thread, but absolutely yes!
