Hi!

Someone told me that buying an equatorial mount and then buying motors will be cheaper then to buy a Equatorial Platform as i have a SkyQuest XT6 a Dobsonian reflector. But i live in Norway and this kind of equipment is kind of expensive, an EQ-5 mounr without Go-To will cost me 1200$

But lets jumpt to the question, does any of you have a experience regarding this that might be helpful to me? Or knowlegde that i clearly doesn't have! My budget doesn't strech so far as i am 16 years old. :tonofbricks:

$1200 for a non goto EQ5???

You'd better make a small trip to sweden and buy your mount here, becouse here you'll get a HEQ5 WITH goto, or a EQ6 without goto, for that money.

The HEQ without goto:

Notice it's swedish prices, /8 for dollar...
