Hi. Is there a rule of thumb for mounts and the subsequent loading ie telescope, binos / imaging device for equipment in the mid price range ? In my situation Lunt / binoV the loading is just over half of the load capability of the GP2 mount. Like everybody else I want a stable visual image, am I pushing the mount to far? If I want imaging capability the the binoV's come off etc. and rule of thumb changes, what is this factor. Thanks in advance. John

Hi John,

Vixen mount capacity in general is stated for AP use (Especially if you take the load capacity numbers from the Japan site). Which means that it could handle a bit more weight for visual use.
