At the Astronomical League Convention Dinner at Hoftstra University on Saturday, August 8th, Alan Traino received the Astronomical League Award. This prestigious award, presented by Terry Mann, League President, was given to Alan in recognition of his contribution to the astronomical community through his work in outreach and coordination of the NorthEast Astronomy Forum.

Alan, congratulations on your many tireless hours of work; for your success in helping build NEAF into the unifying astronomical community event it has become and most especially, for introducing and involving our next generation of astromomers so enthusiastically. Kudos!!

On behalf of your family, friends and community members,

Christine and Morris

Alan and Keynote Speaker, David Levy.
