I spent a fair amount of time looking for an astronomical events calendar when I setup our club's google based website calendar. The only one I could find seemed to be focused on the southern hemisphere. I eventually decided to start maintaining our own. Just wanted to share the iCal URL's in case anyone wanted to include it in there own calendar/Outlook/etc. I will ensure that it's maintained several months ahead. Outside of a couple of quirks, I really like the Google's calendar, ease of incorporation of multiple calendars (we use four), and it's nice to be able to delegate it's update to multiple people.

Anyway, here are the URL's to the calendars (including a lunar phase one which is nice)...

Here's a link to our club calendar if anyone is not familiar with the look and feel of the google calendar and is curious...

No idea if anyone is using this calendar or not (besides us), but I've updated it to include 2010 astronomical events... and am open to any suggestions for inclusion of other events.

Clear skies!

Hello omahaastro!

This is a wonderful resource. Thanks for your hard work!

When I click on the links you provided, the calendars download to my desktop. I'm wondering if there is a way to link to it through Google instead, so that it will automatically update in my calendar whenever you update it.

Cheers!

Jeff thanks for this calendar. I use it quite a bit. Do you know of any ical out there that has all of the star parties and major outreach events in it?

Jeff, do you have any plans on updating the calendar for 2013? I use your calendar quite frequently and really appreciate your contribution.
