Electronics blacked out on Meade LX200R after slewing to M13. The handcontroller blacked out, however, the scope seemed to continue tracking shortly. Auto focus mechanism than started whirling at random so I powered off completely. Then tried unsuccessfully to repower multiple times. The power source was house current via Meaded AC/DC converter which has been used for many viewing sessions without problem.

Any suggestions on troubleshooting?

Make sure your HB cord is connected properly and all the contacts are clean. Could be a bad cable.

Yeah, the cable seems like the likely culprit. Power does seem to return intermittently after jiggling or resetting cable connections but cannot maintain power for more than a few minutes. Just curious about similar experiences out there. Guess I'll invest in a couple more cables.
