Hello

Please, does that "Digital Drive" mean that mount can be operated directly with PC?

No. It means that the tracking speed is digitally controlled (by the supplied speed controller).

John

Thanks - well then it is bye bye Losmandy, too expensive for me to get the Gemini (possibility to get unemployed during the very next 3 months - pitty, then I'd have all the time I've dreamed about for this hobby) :(

Well, what was your budget figure? Perhaps you could find the Gemini version as a second hand unit. Maybe you could settle for a "Digital Drive" equipped GM-8 with digital setting circles - or perhaps just use the manual circles until you can afford to upgrade?

Here are some example ads to look at:

CNC Ad (still available)

CNC Ad (item sold but included anyway to give idea of cost)

CNC Ad (item sold - uses DSC's but sometimes these can come with a lot of extras)

I personally would prefer the Digital Setting Circles, I believe I can push a mount pretty fast...

Hi guys

Tnx for your input and showing directions.
I might settle down for CGEM and hoping it will be ok with guiding - topping SC8 or 2 refs and cams.
