10†LX200 F6.3 classic
It is pier mounted in a observatory & has good polar alignment.
Imaging at 1600mm with the LX200 brings out issues with the mounts abilities & probably age. Dealing with the temperature impact on focus leaves something to be desired also.
So, I am thinking of changing to a CGEM & a Astro-Tech AT8RC F8 sitting side by side with the AT80EDT.
Will the CGEM give me better results at 1600 mm than I am getting with the LX200? Enough to warrant the expenditure?
Will this be worth it
