I have already purchased it. I will be using a William Optics 80mm FD on it. Just wondering about any quirks that I should look out for. Thanks, Dave

That is the exact same travel set up I've been using for the past two years.

The only advice I can give you is to spend some daylight time familiarizing yourself Vixen Starbook controller. It becomes a pleasure to use in a short time.

I've mentioned in the past that I believe that the Skypod is close to its weight limits with the WO 80FD, but others claim that the Skypod can handle a lot more - 14-15 lb range. Upon further reflection, they may be right, since I'm not a stickler for rebalancing the scope when putting heavier EPs on the scope. Balancing the scope is a guesstimate anyway, since you can't free up either axis. There's a good chance I was off with my guess.
