hi guys i recently got an eq1 tabletop mount manual without motor.can i use put my DSLR ON it and take some long exposure shots with 18-55 kit lense?how will i polarly align it?should i adjust the latitude according to my location and just point it to noth star?

Yes: look here

My EQ had a periodic error of 70 arc seconds.
You can simulate how bad that is with this, including polar aligment error effect.

HERE is a lengthy thread on the Mini EQ1. I documented my mini at a total of 40 arc seconds of PE peak to peak.

PE=40 arc seconds peak to peak? Mine was about 140 peak to peak. How did you measure it?

hi guys what is this arc error peak to peak?sorry am a noob dont know.does it means that star will trail after 40 seconds?
