Thinking of a Mini Porta for a little AT66 scope. Anyone try this combo? Wondering if the Mini would be enough mount for the scope. Think it would be stable enough? I want something lightweight and easy to grab. Any input appreciated.

I have a mini-porta for my SV-70mm ED scope and it produces a very nice Grab&Go combination at about 11 lbs. total (scope/mount/tripod). It's more than adequately stable (but definitely not rock stable) for viewing, even at high magnification (I routinely use a 2-4mm Nagler at 205x) and the slow-motion controls work just fine. It's a nice setup - even the EP holder is useful... for the price it's a good value IMHO.
