While clouds and constant rain plague us here in Portland Oregon, I have resorted to yet another re-posting of an improved new photograph of a dated work from November 15th 2008.

Again, it may not appear to please all eyes but the color and details should appear as improved. *Hence, the older image is a little contrastier and this equates for some as more dramatic and thus prefered.

A side-by-side below of new at left with old at right can also serve as a slight 3D effect for those who enjoy crossing their eyes to experince it.

Mark,

The new image brings out your excellent observation very nicely. The lunar maria and craters stand out much better in the new images.

Thanks Carlos

I really wanted to produce a new sketch tonight as the evening started out perfectly clear with a gorgeous gibbous moon but as I neared home, the clouds rolled in again. It has been a typical November in Oregon. March and November are our two rainiest months of the year.
