Hallo,

after a long bad weather periode here at my place , I observed on December 6th M42 with my refracor.Here is my sketching:

Wonderful sketch of M42. I enjoy the view and the 3D effect around the Trapezium. Well done.

An excellent observation of the Orion nebula (M42) showing the core and extensions very nicely. The Orion Nebula is a great target for any observer. Thank you for sharing it with us all.

Great sketch Markus.

Having just sketched it for the first time it's amazing the differences that two people see, this can be down to local conditions and such, but I would imagine that two people out under the same skies would sketch the nebula differently.

thank you,the weather was not very good here for observing.So my last night I used for sketching was Dec.15th these pictures I will show next time.

Hallo Paul,

thank you I think you are right.
I saw your sketching of M42 ,very good.I thought with your scope the nebula will be much brighter than in my scope.Maybe Your locating Dublin ? is not as dark as my place.
My sketching is very near how I see the nebula here in Mülheim.

thank you,it takes some trying for me to get the 3D effect.

thank you too,M42 is one of my favorite Object at that time of the year.And every time I observe the sky I have a look at it.
