Very nice sketch of M-42 and the Trapezium, Markus! I hope we'll see more of your observations soon.

Markus,

Excellent sketch of the Orion nebula. :rainbow: That is about the way I see from near Chicago in the US.

Wonderful sketch of M42. I enjoy the view and the 3D effect around the Trapezium. Well done.

Markus,

An excellent observation of the Orion nebula (M42) showing the core and extensions very nicely. The Orion Nebula is a great target for any observer. Thank you for sharing it with us all.

Great sketch Markus.

Having just sketched it for the first time it's amazing the differences that two people see, this can be down to local conditions and such, but I would imagine that two people out under the same skies would sketch the nebula differently.

Thanks for showing us and keep them coming.

Hallo Paul,

thank you I think you are right.
I saw your sketching of M42 ,very good.I thought with your scope the nebula will be much brighter than in my scope.Maybe Your locating Dublin ? is not as dark as my place.
My sketching is very near how I see the nebula here in Mülheim.
