Last night i make my first mars sketch and here is it

240x ( 5mm Vixen Orthoscopic )
weather: -5°/mag 5/ strong turbulence

great job on the colors Michael :waytogo: i especially like your rendition of the dark markings, did you use grey or green for that?

Michael,

An excellent observation of Mars. You have recorded the North Polar Cap (NPC) and some albedo features as well. Thank you for sharing them with us all.

This is a very nice first sketch. And that with a 8cm refractor! Much better than my first try here on CN :grin:

But why did you put a cross on the background of your sketch? I think your sketch will be even more beautiful without it. But that's off course my personal taste....

The colors were orange and brown on the surface and gray for details.
