This is my secon Mars observation. The CM is nearly the same as three days ago, but the air was steadier. So I could use 187x instead of 144x at my 6" Mak.
I tried to sketch coloured, which gives a better rendering what I saw.

Uwe,

It looks great and especially because of the color. :rainbow: Did you use color pencils or pastel pencils?
I see Mars is no longer gibbous phase.
It has been a long time since I have seen Mars. Weather here has not been good for any kind of observing.
Thanks for posting your fine sketch.

Frank :)

Looks very similar to how Mars looked to me last week. Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed reminiscing my own observation based on your sketch. You did a good job.

Dear Frank,

I used Koh-I-Noor Polycolor artist coloured pencils. These pencils are rich of pigment.

Uwe

Did you colour inside or at the eyepiece?

Uwe , good job. I tried observing Mars last week. Too close to the horizon. It looked like a flashing star. Had to go in, do to work! :bawling:

Dear Jef,

I prepared some sketches graphite pencil outside. It was very cold, -15°C. Nothing for making final sketches.
It was easy to remind the colours inside.

Uwe,

An excellent observation of Mars. You have recorded albedo features surrounding Elysium. I have labeled the major features rendered. Thank you for sharing it with us all.

Dear carlos, thank you for that labelling!

I am interested to see smelting the polar cap in the next weeks and keep sketching. This process I never saw before. This opposition is suited for that.

Uwe,
Joli dessin !
J'ai dessiné Mars en même temps que toi. :)
C'est marant comme chaque dessinateur interprète différemment les couleurs.
Franck toi et moi avons rendu la couleur de Mars différemment.
