WOW!! Great job Darkstar. I haven't seen such neat solar flares before at least in a sketch. I think that looks better than a picture. You don't have to look at the sun disk. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing.

Stephen,

Outstanding observations of the Sun. The solar prominences recorded are phenomenal! I am glad that you enjoyed good seeing during the observation. Thank you for sharing them with us all.

Stephen

Very nice report and excellent sketches from you as always!

Thanks for the heads up. Now if we could just get some clearing here in Oregon, I am way overdue for a new solar sketch. It's been what? A couple years for me away from sketching that star?

Thaks for posting and sharing,

Mark

Great sketches!

Is the date (year 2009) correct in the first pic?

Here's one from yesterday...One of the best viewing days I've had and messed up the AR due to detail overload from awesome seeing conditions...

I love your dynamic sketching technique, Stephan. It makes the Sun seem so much more "alive".

Excellent sketches Stephen! I love your surface detail.

The sun has started to clear my trees, so it's nearly time to get my solar rig back out.

Seeing was poor due to high layer of thin clouds...The disk was fairly clear but the limb was mainly a fog...

And thanx ya'll!

Happy Valentines Day!

The amount of activity isn't totally represented, I had poor conditions but you can see, there is a lot happening up there with ARs from limb to limb!
