Yesterday got only 1 and half hour of clear sky - looked more deeply at open cluster NGC 1980 with the main star of Orion's sword Nair Al Saif. Star is quadruple system, the most prominent - O9 spectral class. It is suspected that cluster together with Nair al Saif was once "banned" from the Orion Nebula Cluster center Trapezium. Consists of 30 stars, the distance from us 1630 ly. No nebulasity was detected there in light poluted skies.
Cluster asterism appear like figure of a scorpion for me:

S1mas,

An excellent and attractive observation of NGC 1980. This is a prety cluster in Orion. Thank you for sharing it with us all.
