Here is a sketch of M1 with my Celestron 6" Refractor on an AS-GT mount. A dielectric diagonal was used along with a 16mm plossl at 76x. With averted vision I did see some detail in the nebulosity but not clear enough to sketch!

Excellent observation of M1. You've captured its shape wonderfully.

Paul,

An excellent observation of the Crab Nebula (M1) in Taurus. This is a "ghostly" object at the horns of the bull. I have adjusted your image and cleaned up the stars a little. I hope that you like it. Thank you for sharing it with us all.

unfortnnatelly i can only glimpse the m1. Never being ale to sketchit. Its something that will make me buy a bigger scope some day. Nice draw. :waytogo:

Wow Carlos that is very nice. I just have not taken time to play with GIMP so that I can do that kind of thing. It is obvious that i need to learn though.
