It's the 1,000th unit?
Bisque started business in 1010bc ?

Seriously. I don't see it on Bisque's site. Can you post a link please? It might be the new "light" version of the ME.

Well, I was just told that ME actually stands for "Millennium Edition". So I guess now the question is -- was there an edition BEFORE the ME, and if so, what changed?

Before the Paramount ME, Bisque had a Paramount GT-1100. It was basically the same mount, if I recall correctly, only with an older control system - MK3000 as opposed to the current MK4000. I seem to recall a gray color too, but that only going back in memory and I could be wrong about that. I guess I was only a grayscale imager back then, so color was a foreign concept. ;)

Yeah, thanks Marcus.

I was just thinking that the early MEs had the MKS3000 controls. The GT1100 had an entirely different control system. It was also rated for a 75 lbs. payload. Found the manual for it here:

Hello,

What will be the price level of Paramount Mini?

From my OWN direct enquiries, for US-based customers, SB are aiming for a price-point around the US$8,000 mark. However when I spoke to SB's European distributor though, they told me that they do NOT expect to sell the PME-mini at any great cost savings to European customers

Best wishes.

Regards,

Thanks for asking the question John. I'm in the market for one or something similar and I also didn't have an idea what the Millennium version was.
Well I sure hope they price the "mini me" reasonably versus the "maxi me". Just don't know when the ETA is. Can't come soon enough.
This hobby is a true addiction and a hoover with my money. Does it ever stop? :fingerscrossed:
