Hallo,

yesterday suddenly the skies cleared up here at my place so I decided to oberserve Mars and Saturn. For me Saturn is always a difficult planet for sketching.Yesterday I also saw two moons of Saturn,Titan and Rhea.

Yeah, I observed nice Titan position yesterday too. After one hour it was noticeable that he moved along Saturn. Thanks for sharing :)

Markus,

Nicely done on both sketches and I enjoy both. I do think I agree with you and like your second sketch the best. I love the shadows you've captured of the planet. I'm glad you got a break in the clouds to observe.

Markus,

Ah very nice sketches. I see that the southern hemisphere of the planet looked a little darker than the northern one. That is an excellent freehand sketch. :rainbow:

Hallo Frank and mathteacher,

thank you very much for your friendly comments.

@ Frank :

I was inspired by your fantastic b/w and coloured Mars sketches you show us here in the forum  ,so I got the idea and tried a coloured Saturn.

Markus,

Excellent observations of Saturn and it's satellites. It is interesting to watch the satellites change positions over time. Thank you for sharing them with us all.
