Stunning sketches, Jeff! Thank you for sharing these gems. :) I'm gearing-up to see what galaxies can show in my city skies, so seeing your sketches has really helped whet my appetite for these challenging targets.

Jeff,

As always, outstanding sketches and observations. I appreciate both the sketches and the observations. You made me hungry for this weekend at a dark sky site.

Thanks, everyone. I've got a few more to post from a rather unprecedented 3rd clear night in a row.

Jeff

All exellent sketches    and your documentation is to learn from for me! I especially like your M 82; your NGC 2903 looks photographically real!

Keep up the spectacular sketch work!

Mark

Jeff,

You have again provided an excellent series of deep sky observations. NGC 2903 appears to be floating in the eyepiece field. The IC 750 trio is very interesting. NGC 4147 appears to show detail at the limit of visibilty. NGC 3697 looks very interesting as well. Thank you for sharing them with us all.

Thanks Mark and Carlos!

I've updated the thread yet again with a 3rd night.

(It's actually clear again as I type this, but I don't think I've got a 4th night in a row in me. Perhaps I'll pop out later just to get a sketch of C/2007 Q3 "Siding Spring" -- or perhaps I'll veg on the couch in front of the TV all evening.)

Jeff,

This is quite a collection of deep sky sketches you have recorded here. Many of these I have not seen other than in photos. I can understand if you feel you need a night off just to recover from all the necessary concentration it takes. Great results for your efforts.

Frank :)
