Buddy,

This is an excellent sketch of M51 and its companion. I really like the effect, really like seeing it in the eyepiece. Nicely done! Glad you got to resize your sketches and I look forward to seeing more of them.

Buddy,

Great first sketch post! You've captured more detail in M51 than I've seen in this galaxy in 10+ years of observing. It's such a diffuse target that my skies with their varying degrees of light pollution over the years have all but rendered this object a dim shadow of its true self. Congrats for such a good view and sketch. I look forward to many more of your sketches.

Buddy,

An excellent observation of the Whirlpool galaxy (M51), especially for the aperture used. You have recorded the spiral arms and companion very nicely. Thank you for sharing it with us all.

Buddy

An excellent sketch of the Whirlpool Galaxy from your observation    You've rekindled my past memories of seeing it from dark skies through a large instrument years ago.

I like your documentation form. Well done.

Great sketch. Did you create the observation form yourself? I really like that layout.

Yes I did create it. But I am now copying them. My computer crashed last summer and I lost my hard drive. So I am going to have to create it again. Thanks for the compliments.

Nice observation, Buddy. You got excellent results from 4" and 5" instruments under NELM 5 skies.
