Are you sure you don't want an iOptron mini-tower? You could save a bundle...

hA! :funny: my cge will also do a lot more :)

I'm waiting on it's much smaller incarnation... I jumped on the 1 left at ATWB last month.

Reading on the ap mounts ug, something about a rom upgrade or something like that to the CPC-3 hand controller? and also read a newer version of pulseguide also this month? Wondering if the mounts are waiting for newer 'firmware'... ?

You will find a whole bunch of AP enthusiasts on the AP-goto yahoo group. I think every AP 1200 owner has had to wait for one. I recommend you download the manual and get ready for the fun!

I'm waiting on mine also. I talked to them Friday and for me it looks like end of March - 1st part of April. I'm not in a huge hurry as I still have to get my observatory built!

I'm still reeling from trying to nail down all the bars, saddles and whatnots needed to mount two scopes side by side... LOL. $$$$$$$$

Just consider Robin Cassady a cherished family member and tell the IRS he's a dependent.

I know it's hard to wait patiently, but once UPS delivers all those boxes and your first slew goes perfectly, you'll forget all about the wait.

Oh, BTW, if you have grown accustomed to just resting your hand on the EP and using the little bit of shake to tease out fine details...find another method, because your mount won't shake.

LOL... yeah, I have grown a little weary of playing the equivalent of the old video game "PONG" with the stars in my reticule eyepiece while guiding for an exposure.

And yeah, I've been lusting after Casady's Triad24 bar setup...

There was some Cassady gear at a meet I went to and the quality was just phenomenal! The man certainly knows his way around a machine shop!
