This is my first sunspot sketch. 1054 is a handsome group. It took lots of patience because seeing is so variable during the day.

Not too sure on how to name sunspots. Would this be "AR11054?" What is the extra 1 in front for?

Very accurate. Seems those spots changed much after several hours I observed them - several spots to the left, where was only one spot before.
Thanks for sharing.

Ging-Li,

An excellent observation of the sunspot group 1045. You are showing detail within both the umbra and penumbra. Thank you for sharing it with us all.

Carlos
