Here is the last of many drawings of a giant equatorial storm on Saturn that Don Parker and I drew, made videos and photos of. I think even some national news ran a story on it. 15 minutes of fame and glory!

So many observations of this I can't scan enough of them. Besides, I am not a Saturn guru.

Okay, just one more! This is a drawing at the eyepiece so is not pretty! We always made them nicer for ALPO.

Jeff,

An excellent observation of the Equatorial Zone (EZ) storm of Saturn in 1990. These storms are not too frequent but have been observed and imaged over the years. I have darkened the background of your observation. Thank you for sharing it with us all.

A similar EZ storm imaged by the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) in 1994; http://www.lpi.usra....ib74/satbul.gif

Jeff,

Great sketching, I do remember this great white storm and although I have a record of observing it I neither sketched it nor did I even describe it.
It looks great and Carlos the dark background is a big plus.

Frank :)
