Welcome to the Cloudy Nights Sketching Forum. You have made an excellent observation of Mars which shows Syrtis Major towards the preceding limb. The central meridian (CM) of your observation is 342.0 degrees West and apparent diameter 10.7 arc-seconds. Thank you for sharing it with us all. I look forward to your future observations on the forum.

Welcome to the Sketching Forum! you've made a great observation of Mars and a fine rendering showing many surface details. It is encouraging to see that a good 90mm objective can still capture this much detail on Mars with good seeing.
I look forward to seeing your future observations and sketches,

Can you do a drawing of Mars with the Mewlon ?
I would be very interested as I am thinking about buying one.

Honestly, not much more if anything were seen on mars through my mewlon last time (2-march-2010) I was out with it.
I have had some excellent views through it on mars, but thats about two years ago. Havn't sketched it though..
But I'll try sketching whats seen in it next time the skie clears
Don't you allready have an excellent tool??

Yes I am very happy with the 8" Newtonian BUT it is not as comfortable to use as when sitting behind an SCT or Mewlon. I am getting older so comfort is king :-)
