Hard to sketch: Crater Maginus

The scurrile shadows in the inner of Maginus attracted my view. But the sketch was hard to do. Such a lot of important detail! I am not totally satisfied.

That pointy beam of light is exactly what caught my eye when I observed the Moon half an hour ago! I recognised it immediately. I thought: "that MUST be a sketch made today". Therefore: great sketch!!!

Uwe,

I believe that your observation of Maginus over the southern hemisphere of the Moon is an excellent one. This is a complex region to observe and render. I have softened (blurred) the shadows within the crater and added the surrounding lunar regolith that you started to render. I hope that you like it. You still made an excellent lunar observation!
