Viewed during dusk as this seems to help with the 'detail'

Mars is very small now and I had to use high power to get a decent sized globe.

8" F/6 Newtonian at x300.

CM = 105', Seeing = AII

Thats a fine sketch! ;) I agree about the mag.. last time I tried, 193x wasn't enough to get a decent size of the planet.

Very nice sketch! I think I made my last sketch of Mars about two weeks ago as the weather has been horrible ever since (5-10 inches of snow coming today!).

The weather has now clouded over in the UK for a few days - but at least we don't have snow !!!
