Really great night tonight so had a quick peak at Mars and it showed quite a bit of detail.

8" F/6 newtonian at x300.
19th April 2010, 20:00UT
CM=333', seeing = AII

Hellas was very bright - a little brighter than the North polar cap, Libya stood out too.

Hi Jay,

I ended up helping a starter astronomer tonight with his very nice setup - a 10" Newt on an EQ6. Sadly I had no time to sketch. Weather is looking good for tomorrow though and Syrtis Major will be on view .....
