This might be a dumb question, but can someone explain to me what the aux port is for? Thanks, Charlie

The only currently-available accessory that uses that port is the GPS module.

The Aux port is electrically identical to the Hand control port.
Besides the GPS you can use it to connect to a computer using Celestron’s
Auxiliary Port Accessory kit (#93922 ).

I see. Basically it is another control port. Thanks for the replies. Kind of wish they would have put a 12v port for powering fans etc.

I use it with the Aux Port Accessry kit and NexRemote to eliminate the hand controller. A Logitech Wireless Wingman game controller connected to the virtual port on NexRemote makes alignments a breeze...
