Mounting a DSLR on Mini Tower

Can anyone point me in the right direction to mount my DSLR camera onto a Ioptron Mini Tower?

I assume you are not going to mount on a telescope? If so, I have one of these and I think it would work for your situation. It's a adapter rail with 1/4" #20 thread and should be able to do the job.

I assume you are not going to mount on a telescope? If so, I have one of these and I think it would work for your situation. It's a adapter rail with 1/4" #20 thread and should be able to do the job.


Thanks Mark - Does this screw fit the tripod mount? I assume camera would be sideways?

Either that- or a simple right angle bracket with a bolt to mount the camera to the base and a dovetail bar in the vertical member such as this.

The screw fits the tripod thread on the bottom of the camera.


Now if you have a rail and some additional parts you can DIY a very good alternative. Here are the parts:
