According to this web site
http://www.optcorp.c...00-603-619-7854

The Meade 10" ACF is 25 - 26 lb.

The LXD75 is about equal to a CG-5, which is often bundled with the C9.25 (20 lb). So the LXD75 should marginally-ok visually for the Meade 10". A bigger mount (Atlas/EQ-6, Celestron CGEM) would be better though. Personally I find that using a mount close to its limits makes life bad (vibration takes ages to damp out).

Both Atlas and CHEM are $1400 new, but I think you can get them under $1000 used.

I know that $$ are hard to part with..But if you can find a used Atlas/Eq6 you will be very happy...Iv had an lxd75 and its a nice mount, but no autoguider input, you can pulse guide, but the direct mode is better..
The atlas can be rebuilt, improved apon and is just good right out of the box!
i got a 2 year old one in great shape for 750...about 1k is normal..The mount is quite and smooth to use!
scopes will come and go,but that mount will stay awhile..
I just bought a 2nd one for travel..It will handle the 10" much better...

Yes either an Atlas or the Celestron CGEM would be a very good match. Bob
