Finally got a chance to have a look at Jupiter and saw Uranus for the first time ever too.

Uranus is very small but I resolved it as a disk at x166 and it was a nice shade of blue.

Jupiter is showing more and more detail - I still have not seen the GRS this year but it wont be long.

Drawing was done with a Takahashi FS-128 at x166, seeing was AII, time was 0100 UT.

dweller25,

Excellent Jupiter sketch and additional Uranus capture.
If one have not seen Uranus to date with Jupiter as a guide post, this has been the year to track it down.

Frank :)

Thanks for the comments.

Frank the little dot in the drawing is a scanning error - I did not draw Uranus as there was not a lot to report.

Having said that though it is about the dot in the drawing is about the size Uranus looked !!!
