We had a string of clear nights in middle September, although Sagittarius has been making its dive for the horizon. We took one evening to enjoy a couple new objects (new to us) rather than the typical ones, although we visited them before we got started on these two. The top left story on the Inspiration Page of our site (address below my signature) has the sketches and story...."Joy in Sagittarius."

Fine sketches! You really see that video gives you more detail and color.

Roland and Linda,

Great to see you sketching together. The objects you chose and your sketches of them are excellent. :waytogo: :waytogo:

Roland and Linda,

Thank you both for sharing with us your beautiful and excellent observations of NGC 6440 and NGC 6445. It is interesting to compare the two sets of observations. I am glad that Linda is able to make observations with you. I hope that she is doing well. I look forward to your future observations.

Thanks for the comments and glad you enjoyed the sketches. Yep, Linda is "alive and kicking" ... much faster sketcher than me, although she does not do it as often. Not bad for a 4-time cancer survivor. She should be right along side me teaching teachers in the Philippines in a few months.
