Yesterday evening I depicted the hard to sketch area near northern Grimaldi. I selected this area because of an interesting shadow cast. The terraced wall of Grimaldi was hard to sketch, I missed some small but bright patches here. You notice: I am not fully satisfied with this sketch. Nevertheless I want to show it to you.

An excellent observation of Grimaldi. I believe that you have done very well in rendering the terraced wall and shadow cast by it. Thank you for sharing it with us all.

Uwe, I do not have to tell you... but the Moon is hard to sketch! Even if you are not completely happy with the result, you spent some beautiful moments outside observing the Moon.
I was looking at the same time more south at crater Cr├╝ger. I will post the result after scanning.

Great looking sketch.  I am seeing more and more very fine details in your lunar sketches. Way to go!

Frank :)
