No, that's an early Criterion. I'm sure it's wobbly as all get out, but if I were near enough, I'd buy it just to say I did.

Did not see the obligatory "Don't know anything about telescopes." But they should have added it. Check out this new way to mount.

It's close to that time, so I nominate that one as the winner of the year!

You know I agree. This is really a novel way to display a telescope.

I'd love to turn the owner loose with a box of Legos to see what he/she comes up with.

The price? The mount? The 3" Scope? The account looks hacked. No activity from the seller for almost 2 years and then this.

It's located in the town next to me just 5 minutes away. What should I offer?

For starters, it's advertised as a 3" while it says 60mm on the focuser.

They have revised the title/description now to #128/60 mm. It is most curious that there is no photograph of the mount. Wouldn't the focuser wheels be metal were it truly a 1954 as advertised? I am not that familiar with pre 1960s Unitron variations.

If the "steampunk lamp" wasn't enough of a threat to classic telescopes here is someone wanting them for alchemy research and perpetual motions machines:

There is no mount. Also, I do not know where the 6 eyepieces are. I only count 4.

I don't think I've ever seen an equatorially mounted finderscope! Wow, what a bargain, especially since he so helpfully includes a copy of the original $75 ad!

I don't know if this ad belongs in this thread. It's rather rare and appears to be in good condition. I don't think $500+ is outrageous.
