I was waiting for acceptable sky for several weeks. Today I had the chance to see Jupiter for 2 hours. Then clouds again. The air was steady but there were high thin clouds which reduced the contrast.

I did not see too much detail in the NEB. Except the shadow of Europa I saw a dark structure in the SEB, which should be a sign of its recurrence. This structure makes the sketch valuable for me.

The instrument was my 6 inch Mak, I used 144x and 180x. North is up (of course) the image is mirror reversed.

Uwe,

An excellent observation of Jupiter. You have recorded a good amount of detail over the planet as well as the shadow of Europa. I will be posting a similar observation of Jupiter soon. Thank you for sharing it with us all.

Fine sketch. I hope the weather will clear soon again in Germany.

Uwe,

Excellent sketching and your seeing must have been better than average to catch all that detail I see in your fine rendering.

Frank :)

Uwe,

Nice work--Jupiter is hard to resist right now, but the weather and seeing seldom cooperate.
