Hey All!

I'm heading to Boston tomorrow for a hockey game and I'm wondering if there are any astronomy/telescope stores in downtown - accessible by the T?

Quick responses would help, since we're leaving around Noon! :jump:

The last astronomy store in Boston closed many years ago. There are none left. The nearest one is Astronomy Shoppe in Plaistow, NH.

Sorry, Boston seems to be a dry town for local shops.
I have been looking for some time. I am resigned to using online shopping to get anything...local clubs may be an alternative for used equipment.

You may look to see if there are any Audubon shops and that's all we have here in CT.

Looks like the hobby like many others is so gear and gimmick orientated (new must have gadgets), it comes unprofitable to warehouse loads of parts that sit on the shelf and thus brick and mortar stores become obsolete in favor of online sales to keep down the overhead.

Even the toy and hobby shop her has one or two list price scopes with an eyepiece or two in a locked cabinet.

Does anyone remember Barry and Sid at FC Meichsner Co? They were great guys. They closed shop, I don't know, about 10 years ago now?
