Am the last man standing trying to split Sirius?

So, if art can illicit a response, it must be good art, Enemy. That's my response. :)

Really like what you're doing with color!

TE,

Excellent observations of interesting double stars. The pup is always a nice catch. Thank you for sharing them with us all.

10th,

Really like these double sketches--the diffraction spikes add an extra dimension.

Question: are these inverted graphite sketches?

Really nice work on Sirius! You managed to capture the glare in a very realistic way.

Thank you all for your comments! I've been wanting to split Sirius for a few years. All my previous attempts were unsuccessful, the seeing doesn't often cooperate here. Then one night the companion was obvious, though still within the glare of Sirius, so I sketched it.

are these inverted graphite sketches?

The stars are ink and the spikes and smudges are graphite. I've settled on this as my preferred method for all my deep sky sketches.
