Hi.

Using the CGE pro mount, there is something I find very strange when I ask the mount to point at Polaris. It goes to Polaris but its way off because the RA axis doesn't go to the switch position (meridian) but a couple of degrees off. When I move the RA axis to the switch position, Polaris is perfectly align. I did the test after a 4 stars align.

Do you have an idea why it doesn't go on the switch position to center Polaris ??? In fact, each time I ask to point Polaris, its not centered but all other stars are.

Thanks.

Andre.

I'm pretty new to the Pro mount, Andre (just a month!) but I'll try it next clear night I get and let you know how it goes.

It sounds like the mount thinks Polaris is where it was before you polar aligned. Maybe simple try to resync Polaris at it's new position, or do a fresh 2+4 calibration, and dont re-polar align.

Do your regular 2 star alignment then add 4 calibration stars.

Trev.

Oh yes no problem. After doing a 4 stars align, the goto is okay.

Andre.
