Back home finally...
The hotel lobby bar... Dean got two white Russians from the hotel bar. He got $60 change from his $100 bill. Yup, those two drinks cost $40.

But they sure hit the spot after a long day at NEAF :)

Dean. You were at NEAF and you DIDN'T COME BY TO SEE ME??? I am sadly disappointed in you. :ohgeeze:

Sedat had a rolling bag, it looked full also :)

Hussshhhhhh!!!!!

Helder, what are you doing my friend ? If the CFO reads your message I'm done !

Did I tell anybody anything about your new LX800 ? I guess we understand each other, don't we? :roflmao:

Sedat,

Wasn't your rolling bag full of free magazines ? ;)

I only got a couple of planetary filters and an inexpensive webcam :) The LX800 was shipped;)

Now you are talking, Helder

I am safely back home with all the magazines in tact :)

Was very good to see most of my friends there. Steph and Rusty were protecting me all the time against the evil :)

Alan Traino and his team did a great job again. The show was very satisfactory for me and worth all the effort. Remember, I came all the way from Istanbul just for NEAIC and NEAF. A total of 40 hours travel time !

Hope to come next year again.

Clear skies to you all,

Sedat

Do you know what date NEAF in 2013? I keep eye on airplane at low price then I grab it! My daughter and I went to Newark from Chicago two people for around trips for 500 dollars. Not bad!

I was at the booth several times and never saw you or I certainly would have said hello. Will do it next year I promise!

Okay, then you're exonerated. ;) Gee, I was really only away the one time on Saturday for a break, but that *was* for about an hour, as I walked the floor myself; then a short time on Sunday to go solar view. Must've been one of those times. I'm sorry I missed you.

It's a bummer enough to find CNers stopped by and I didn't get to meet them, but when it's someone I already know and I miss them, I'm even sadder. :bawling:

It was a very unfortunate accident. The camper was owned by Astro Gizmos. I was rolling into the vendor parking lot when I saw the fire department spraying foam on what remained of the shell.

Ooooh, I hadn't heard that's whose it was. I got there as the fire truck was leaving, but other emergency personnel were still there.

Dean tells me he thought the price for the AP 1600 mount was higher than the figures I gave. I am merely passing on what I was told at the booth. Beyond that, I have no idea what the final price will be. I was also told that the mount could be ordered without high resolution encoders, and the encoders could be added later. I don't know if this is a user installable option or if the mount has to be returned.

I was told that it would be a very simple user installation.

The tag had an estimated price of $10,900. Roland thought the encoders would run upwards of $2500 per axis. Ouch but he did say they would be something we could install ourselves later on as an upgrade.

Hate to hear of Jeff losing his camper, glad he was not injured.

I think it is likely Dean is right about the encoder prices. The encoders on the 3600 mount increase the price by $6800.

After the investigation by the insurance company it was decided that it was an ammonia leak from the refrigerator which was then ignited by the pilot light.

Jeff, sorry to hear of the fire. Sadly, leaky reefers (hydrogen gas) are a common source of fires.

Not when they use CFCs as refrigerant...which is why they replaced ammonia in the first place... :foreheadslap:

The ammonia refrigerators are used because they only need a heat source (propane flame) to drive the system instead of electricity. This is a very real type of accident. I'm sorry to hear this happened. I tend to say I'm glad it just happened to a machine, but I know it's quite a shock.
